Tomorrow, April 26th, is They Might Be Giants Awareness Day. Tell your friends!
Watch out for the secret kitten!
I heard a review of the Canadian show Corner Gas on the Firefly podcast The Signal quite a while ago, and added it to my Netflix queue. It showed up last week. I finally got around to watching it last Friday night, and it was pretty funny. There were some hit-or-miss episodes on the first disk, but overall it was pretty good stuff. I love how the first episode started, even before the credits.
So check it out, you might like it. Eh.
Ran across How It Should Have Ended recently, and thought I'd share this one:
Oh, and take this:
Yesterday afternoon I watched Swamp Diamonds. The movie really sucked, but was mercifully shorter than normal. Because of this fact, it was prefaced by an old short film about dating:
If you watched it, skip the movie. It's about female convicts in short shorts crawling around in a swamp trying to recover stolen diamonds. I give it one empty seat, for the woman that died in the swimming pool instead of the swamp.
Well the geniuses at Cinematic Titanic are about to release a new movie on January 8th. I can't wait!
I haven't posted my own videos before, but I thought I'd give it a try. This first one took forever to upload. Remember, all this snow fell in just under 30 hours.
These other two are much shorter:
We're still waiting for the snowplow.
As the title says, I'm guessing this happened in England, where 0.79% of the population in 2001 claimed the Jedi Order as their religion.
PS I'm kidding. I know it didn't happen in England. It was funnier to say because of the whole Jedi religion thing.
Jeff (a cow-orker) just showed me this, and I had a really good laugh over it. Enjoy.
Premiering on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim this Sunday at "11ish", according to They Might Be Giants. Warning: gratuitous regurgitation of stomach contents of bird swiftly follows:
Here's the new Cinematic Titanic trailer for their holiday release I mentioned a few days ago:
Before It Conquered the World, Mystery Science Theater 3000 riffed a short film called Snow Thrills. Full the the brim with yesteryear banter, this film was borderline nauseous. The best part was when they introduce a fast-growing popular sport called skiing, pronounced shee-ing. This part starts around 4:17. Go see it, it's really funny.
The mad scientists at RiffTrax are at it again. Here's my favorite:
