Windows Pinball
First dog watch, 1 bell (4:30 pm)

Many years ago, I used to play the Windows Pinball game a lot. Today I finished formatting a new computer just after 5pm and decided I'd start a game for old time's sake. I had a pretty decent score given how long I've been on hiatus—6.7 million and change. My highest ever was a little over 12 million points.

Neat Bicycle Mod
Forenoon watch, 3 bells (9:50 am)

Check out the pac man bicycle wheel mod, it's really cool! I almost titled this post Why Can't I Think of Things Like This, but then I realized—I don't have that much spare time.

They have a kit you can buy and put together yourself. You can put in your own custom images, etc.

Hard Drive Orchestra
First dog watch, 3 bells (5:52 pm)

This reminds me of the Dot Matrix Symphony of long ago, but some dude hooked up microphones to old hard drives and has them do weird things to make "music".

Rotary Cell Phone
First dog watch, 2 bells (5:00 pm)

I'm not quite sure why you would want to do this, aside from the obvious "because I can" reason, of course, but here's a link to a guy that merged his cell phone with an old rotary phone. And it works, too. I love the pic of it on the dashboard—funny.

The SPAM Camera
Afternoon watch, 3 bells (1:36 pm)

Once again, I've proven that my addition of a Too Much Spare Time category on this blog is necessary. Some dude out there turned a can of SPAM into a camera.

Afternoon watch, 7 bells (3:59 pm)

Some dude made a radio-controlled tank out of recycled printer parts that shoots paintballs. Holy freaking cow.

Hero Worship
Forenoon watch, 5 bells (10:37 am)

I played World of Warcraft for a while (before I got married), and it was fun, but I never got so far in to it that I wanted to make 3D models of my characters. Of course, I'd love to have a neat toy like the Dimension printer they link to...
