Forenoon watch, 4 bells (10:19 am)
I'm thinking about extending our stay here in Oregon. My grandfather just had a mild stroke a couple of days ago, but he refuses to acknowledge it or make any kind of a deal out of it. He won't even admit it to most of the family, but the word has already spread. Yesterday was my cousin Megan's wedding, down in Coburg. It was really nice. My uncle, The Captain Reverend T (don't ask), officiated.
As long as nothing pressing comes up at the office, I should be able to either just take the time off or at least work remotely.

- It's great to see how my #MUD project's loading and saving functions are getting smaller with the change to YAML. #
- Added languages and fluency to my #MUD project's Sentient class. YAML conversion is done for that class now, too. #
- Off to the in-laws' B&B for dinner. #
- Up at 5am. Sleep is overrated. Finishing up some laundry, going to clean out the car, then pack for the Portland trip. #
- Car is clean, laundry is on final approach. Still need to pack. But for now, BREAKFAST! #
- They stripped my oil plug taking it off. Waiting for a new one so I can get on the road. #
- New plug was delivered by a beautiful woman. Would that all my car repairs worked that way... #
- Just waiting for Lorien to finish her errand and grab a bite to eat. This is the danger time, we arrive in Portland during rush hour #
- At Charburger in Hood River, getting some awesome onion rings #
- Hanging at mom's house on Mt Scott in Portland, watching TV #
- Mom's leaving on a camping trip until Thursday. Just when we get here... #
- Relaxing at mom's in Portland. Working on I/O and YAML in my #mud project #
- The #mud is compiling and linking again! I now have to bootstrap some room save files so I can do some testing. #
- Just left a brand new Cadillac at the Portland airport unlocked with the keys in it. How awesome us that? #
- Writing connection-handling classes for my #mud to ease state changing between login, password, create new player, etc. #
- Handlers written for states: closed, login, password, and active. Just have create state left for tomorrow...er, later today #
- Thanks everyone for not boosting the brand new unlocked Cadillac I left at the Portland airport last night. #
- New YAML #mud code is working, but has a few bugs still. Working on a loading issue now. #
- Waiting for Lorien at the library next to Clackamas Town Center #
- Got back to Mom's just in time to help sister Jodie unload her car #
- Room loading code is the #mud is workin perfectly thanks to the yaml-cpp library. Looking at player loading code now. #
- The entire #mud is working perfectly again. Today is another Milestone day! #
- Not sure if I want to work on the #mud anymore tonight. Made SO much progress today, it was awesome. #

- Working on some object code while waiting for my niece Scarlet to wake up. We're going to the IKEA store #

- Just got back from Wunderland next to Dark Horse Comics in Milwaukie. It was ticketastic! #
- Up early because...well, I just can't sleep anymore. It's a cool Portland morning #
- The object loading code has been fixed. In some cases a NULL object could be returned instead of an object in memory. #
- Just got a free oscilloscope from my step-father. Awesome! Plus a box full of surge protectors. #
- Lunch at Otto's Sausage Kitchen. It is awesome #
- Can't find the charger cable for my camcorder. Must have left it at home

- Drove to downtown Portland right off the MLK Blvd to visit at Jodie's. And to go to the Letterpress Fair. #
