I called my insurance company to find out what my windshield replacement policy is. Turns out, I don’t have windshields included in my policy. It’s up for renewal in just a couple of weeks, so I asked how much it would cost to add. It ended up being $28/year for both cars. The agent warned me that it doesn’t cover a pre-existingly broken windshield, but if one was to break a few weeks from now it would be covered, as opposed to trying to make a claim on it day one.
Not that either (or both) of my car windshields are broken, mind you. I have a feeling both of them will break soon, though. There are a lot of rocks on the road around here in the winter.
Speaking of winter, four of the next seven nights have lows forecasted below freezing. 28-31°F. Summer is over here.
