Well, so much for going home early. I barely made it out before I typically leave. Then I had snow to shovel when I got home.
I heard that today was a coveted snow day, where local children didn't have to go to school. Alas, I still had to go to work. Since the temperature never rose above freezing today, the snow was piled just as high as it was when I left it. Except for the giant berm deposited by the snow plow that drove by sometime today.
Some day I'll buy a snowblower. After I get a new GPS, digital SLR camera, and pay for this trip to England in July…
I will say this: nothing makes you feel like an old man like shoveling a couple hundred pounds of snow.
We got another six inches of snow last night in Post Falls. On top of that, I didn't sleep well at all, and was up most of the night, so I barely have any energy to shovel the driveway.
To top that off, the snow shovel that I left outside leaning up against the house is now covered in a quarter-inch of ice, which freezes my hands when I pick it up. So all I shoveled was my steps and a path to where Lorien parks. I figure I'll get the rest later this afternoon. I don't think I'm going to be able to work a full day today anyway.
