Lots of promotions were handed out lately at the office, and yours truly wasn’t forgotten. Everybody’s favorite IT guy is now (officially) in charge of the IT Department as its manager.
Yay me.
I’ve always had a tough time delegating projects or tasks—I know how to do them, and can get them done right. Part of the problem is not wanting to let go, the other part is wanting to make sure the problem is taken care of the way it should be. Sometimes you have to let other people do things so they can develop those same skills. It’s just something I’m not naturally good at that I’ll be working on from here on out.
