Return Home

Well I’m back at work today. The trip back yesterday was uneventful. The gas station attendants in Oregon are rude. I got yelled at by a lady that thought I was starting to pump my gas. I had to wait almost two minutes before someone came up to me and started pumping. When I worked at a service station in Oregon while growing up, that was the biggest mistake an attendant could make. I ran up to cars to get them started. Not this lazy walk around aimlessly let-me-smoke-this-cigarette-first attitude. Oregon is retarded and I’m embarassed to admit I was born there.

I agree. I was born in Portland and left when I was 14. When I was last in Oregon I dreaded the thought of purchasing gas. The attendants take forever to do anything. I would get out and pretend that I am going to start pumping gas. That got them there in a hurry. I have vowed to not return to Oregon until they have changed the law. Until then I will take my tourism dollars somewhere else.

New Jersey also doesn’t allow pumping your own gas—it’s the only other state in the US that doesn’t. I’ve been there too, it sucks at least as much as Oregon does…

My family moved to North Idaho in 1989, I was 16. I didn’t realize how much I disliked Oregon until I lived somewhere else.

Oregon is bad
Stop it if you can
Here it comes
Here it comes
Now it’s after you
Flee to someplace new
Run away
Run away

PS I hate pumping gas! It always drips on my
shoes. Yick. Andrew is with you though–he hates
having to wait.
