I mentioned earlier that I would quote a few bits from The Dracula Tape, Fred Saberhagen does such a wonderful job conveying the count in a way I’ve never read before.
I had expected Harker’s natural curiosity at these events to break forth at once in questions…
(referring to Dracula’s disguising himself as a coachman to drive Harker to his castle and leaving the carriage to mark the locations of the blue flames)
He continues:
What I had not reckoned with was the—in this case—damnable English propensity for minding one’s own business, which in my opinion Harker carried to lengths of great absurdity, even for a discreet and tactful young solicitor.
Happy Birthday Wishes go out to my old pal Laura in Sweden, I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
I had this weird dream last night. I went to Home Depot and the people that worked there were mad at me because the last time I was there (with Lorien’s uncle Scott), he bought some wood and returned it after spraying something on it, which caused them a lot of trouble. At first I said I had no idea what they were talking about, then remembered the trip with Scott and said it was him, not me.
Then I was reading their sales flyer while three guys in women’s clothes were trying to get attention. I made it a point to ingore them, but there was a skinny black guy in a purple dress that was just ridiculous, and they were very noisy.
That’s about where I woke up.
