You may remember (or you can see it here now) that I have been having some wireless problems at home. Well, I finally broke down and bought a new Wireless router and got everything up and running. I had a Netgear 802.11g router and it worked great for at least two years now, but for some reason lately I’ve been having all kinds of connection issues. I bought a new Linksys 802.11g router and set up my new network, WEP (and MAC) security, and just fixed the TiVo to connect to it. Things seem to be good now.
I noticed at Best Buy (I hate going there, the salespeople really think they know what they’re talking about, but they seldom do). Let me tell you, a guy in high school (or just out of it) getting minimum wage is not qualified to fulfill all your IT needs. Well, maybe yours, but not mine.
I just got a letter from my old friend, Jared Taylor. I haven’t talked to him since we were both in the MTC. That was in 1992. I have no idea how he got my address, but I’m very glad he found it and I will be sending an email off to him soon.
