I read Richard Bartle’s blog often, and every now and then he mentions something odd about “us Americans”. Which, I grant, is mostly true. Most Americans shouldn’t be let out of their homes, much less in to other countries, but I digress.
So I thought I’d mention this, this, and this. Take that, limeys.

December 18th, 2006 at 11:52 pm I do write more about weird things going on in Britain than I do those that go on in the USA, mainly on account of how I live here. The story of the sweetie shower is even more bizarre given how much the people on the stage in pantomimes interact with the audience. It’s like complaining of being hit by a tennis ball if you’re in the crowd at Wimbledown - you know it’s a possibility, so if you’re worried about it you don’t go (or, in the case of pantos, don’t take your children). December 28th, 2006 at 9:20 am If I ever get the chance to meet you Richard, I want you to sign my copy of Designing Virtual worlds, it’s a great book. It made me rethink a lot of the ideas I’ve had for my own MUD, and gave me many more new ideas, too. |
