What can you do when good technology goes bad? Today we experienced a problem with our local phone numbers—and apparently so have a lot of other people. My sources tell me the following:
Verizon has reported the problem is in a matched pair of STP’s in Indiana. The problem has been resolved but the route set that allows traffic has not been restored for all areas. They are restoring these slowly to prevent overload conditions.
