And Finally, More Pictures

Afternoon watch, 7 bells (3:49 pm)

Here are the last three pictures I want to post right now. Thanks go out to my wife for being the subject of my pictures 🙂

I broke out my telescope after we got back to the B&B for a quick picture of the moon. It wasn't over the horizon very long, but it was quite red:

More Oregon Coast Pictures

Afternoon watch, 7 bells (3:47 pm)

Here are some we took at Neptune Beach, near Yachats. There was some amazing color, and I'm so glad I had my camera with me, the next two days we had fog and didn't get to see any sunset at all.

Trip to the Coast

Afternoon watch, 7 bells (3:42 pm)

Well, it's high time I got some of my pictures online, so here come a couple of posts with some of my favorites. My wife laughs at me and says I take so many pictures, but I tell her it's because I want to get the one perfect picture that's hiding there somewhere. The more pictures I take, the more likely I am to get the one I really wanted.

Anyway, we visited the Sea Lion caves on the Oregon coast. I broke out my long lens and got some good pictures:

The Heceta Head Lighthouse touts itself as the "most photographed" lighthouse in the world. I probably helped bump it up some more:

24: Season Three
Posted in General
Forenoon watch, 3 bells (9:37 am)

I've been watching Season Three of 24 this past weekend, I never saw it. At the time it was airing, I didn't have TV at home. I bought the first two seasons on DVD and they've gotten a lot of use. I saw seasons 4 and 5 on TV (God bless TiVo!), and am anxiously awaiting season 6. My sister-in-law currently has my first two season sets, and they want the third as well, so I had to finish watching it by next Tuesday, when my wife leaves for Texas for a week. I'll finish it with a week to spare, though. Once you start on them, you can't just stop watching.

Cats That Hate Purple?
Forenoon watch, 2 bells (9:20 am)

This is a shameless link for Richard Bartle and his almost-two-weeks-in-the-future Cats That Hate Purple idea. Sorry guys, you'll have to go somewhere else.
