Knots are cool. Some knots are really cool. I like the Boatswain’s whistle knot a lot. Make sure you tie the doubled version, it’s a lot cooler. I had problems getting the normal one tied, but the double came out fine—you’d think it’d be the other way around. It’s a nice looking knot that you can use to hang stuff from rope with. Use a moderately thick (1/4 inch or so) nylon rope and it will look real cool.
Last night we had a close call when Lorien thought Oscar ate Posthumous the Plecostomus. There were these chunks sinking to the bottom of the tank, and she called me over to look at it, but on my way she said something like ewwww—Oscar was just pooping. His poop is big. Posthumous is still living with Hawking the Amazingly Smart Goldfish in the house at the bottom of the tank.
