Regarding my earlier post about the Post Falls City Council and the request to change the parcel of land near mine to Community Commercial Services (CCS), as I believed they would, the council voted in favor of the change. I’m not thrilled about the commercial change right next to the (currently undeveloped) lot right behind mine, because now there’s nothing to stop it from being re-zoned to CCS as well. I now can only hope that some kind developer puts a retirement home in there, and not a gas station or a restaurant. With the automotive dealerships across the street, a gas station is my biggest fear.
Well, 2005 was a great year for my retirement plan—between contributions and growth, I had a 23% gain! This makes me very happy, especially after surviving the 2001-2003 down-years.
