Yesterday while browsing the Uncle’s game store in downtown Spokane, we ran across the Settlers of Catan: Das Buch. It’s chock-full of new scenarios of how to play Settlers. It comes with a bunch of new tiles (volcano, castle, etc) and looks like a whole crapload of fun. It’s completely in German, but comes with an English pamphlet that explains how to play each scenario. If only they translated which parts go into which bags…

I was going to put Spammers: 0, but I remember a couple weeks ago when a spam comment came in past Akismet. But one out of a thousand is a percentage I can live with!

Last night Lorien and I went to dinner at the American Cheesecake factory, right next door to where I work. The dinner was marvelous—I had a lasagna that I just couldn’t stop eating, it was so good. They covered it with mozarella and lightly browned it in the oven, the taste was fabulous. I barely had enough room for part of the dessert (it was free because it was my birthday). Now I have some wonderful leftovers in my fridge at home
