Well, I did pretty good at the beginning, and even took the chip lead for a while, but I eventually lost out and came in 3rd at our poker game. It was fun, though. Nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
We (some of my coworkers and I) have a poker game in about 11 hours, I must get some rest before it so I can clean up on them. We used to play a lot, every couple of weeks, but haven’t played now in almost a year. We play No Limit Texas Hold-em, it’s a lot of fun. It’s the same game they play on the World Poker Tour, as well as Celebrity Poker Showdown (a favorite show of Lorien’s).
Well, the movie was pretty good. It had a very distinct 40’s feeling, even though I imagine about half the movie was computer generated animation. I really mean half. But it was good animation, very decent. I’m impressed. Lorien’s father came along with us, as well as her uncle. One of the best parts was Gwyneth Paltrow getting decked in the face. I’ve been waiting a long time for that one.
