Middle watch, 2 bells (1:02 am)
Sounds like I’ve been watching too much Futurama (Professor Farnsworth says “Good news, everyone” pretty often). As of about an hour ago, Lorien and I are engaged. My bachelor days are now numbered, but after 31 years, I can deal with that. We’re both excited and happy, as well as Lorien’s entire family (at least those that know so far). I haven’t had a chance to speak with any of my family, but I emailed my sister Jodie to let her know. I also sent emails to two long-time friends of mine that are far away and may not hear very quickly, LT and TB, who both have been great friends and have given great advice.
I go to bed tonight a tired but very happy man. Did I mention lucky, too?
