Man today was killer, MP and I played 2 racquetball games (we each won once) after lifting weights. We typically do play racquetball after lifting, but not usually that long (the games kept going on and on). It was a great workout though.
Mr. Pookies was flipping out running around the house, so I tossed a Pounce treat out for him, which he ran down and swallowed before it stopped moving. He doesn't chew these treats like normal cats, he just swallows them. So I tossed a couple more out for him, most of which he caught in mid-air with his paws. I'm sure he thinks he's human, he always has to check out what I'm eating...
I'm not much for shopping, but I had a need for a few things (sandwich bags to keep my chips separate from my sandwich - they were soggy today, diet pepsi, the usual - you can get diet pepsi background images for your computer there) so I drove over to Wal-Mart. I'm not a huge fan of Wal-Mart, but they're convenient as they are about a mile from my house, I usually stop there on my way home from work.
Anyway, I think I scared this poor cashier, she was Chinese, and I spoke to her once very briefly about 2 months ago, so she must have forgotten who I am...the nerve!. So I started talking to her and she didn't realize I was speaking Chinese. She finished scanning my stuff and then handed me the receipt and I told her thank you in Chinese, and she said oh, you speak Chinese?. What followed was the usual conversation I have when I first meet a Chinese person ("I can't believe how well you speak Chinese" etc etc). I found out she's from Chongching (Chongching is the capital of SiChuan), which isn't all that far (relatively speaking) from Kunming, where I lived while in China. I found out she's a student at NIC studying computers. I still have no idea how Chinese people even find Coeur d'Alene.
Another new category! Oh boy! This would have been Quote of the Day, Week, etc, but I have no idea how often I'll update it.
Today's quote is from Captain Murphy (Sealab 2021):
"It's like a Koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain!"
Today is dedicated to Kyle, the Alaskan Seal Pirate.
